He forms a living, dynamic relationship with the music. Those massively dense passages come to us in all their fullness, but we never lose track of the notes and the lines they form. The quieter moments, and the more contemplative ones, can seem so gentle and vulnerable with a spiritual fragility that we feel could almost break if we were to touch it.

TELLEF JOHNSON GAVE THE WORLD PREMIERE OF SORABJI'S OPUS ARCHIMAGICUM ON DEC. 18, 2025 IN A BLIZZARD WITH -20 CELSIUS DEGREE WEATHER. HE TOOK THREE SHORT BREAKS OF 15 MINUTES EACH BETWEEN PART I, MOVEMENT V & MOVEMENT VI. THE LAST PART WAS PLAYED STRAIGHT THROUGH DUE TO SORABJI'S UNIQUE "ATTACCA" STRUCTURE OF THE LAST FOUR MOVEMENTS.
